Miami Dolphins trade Albert to Jacksonville

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have traded tackle Branden Albert to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for Jacksonville’s seventh-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft.

Albert started 35 games for the Dolphins in the past three years (2014-16) after Miami signed him as an unrestricted free agent on March 12, 2014. The left tackle started 12 games for the Dolphins in 2016 and was selected to the Pro Bowl following the 2015 season. He has played in 120 games with 118 starts in his nine-year NFL career after spending his first six seasons (2008-13) with the Kansas City Chiefs. Albert was selected with the 15th overall pick of the 2008 NFL draft by Kansas City.
