POSTGAME NOTES

WAKE BRINGS DOWN ANOTHER QUARTERBACK

  • DE Cameron Wake sacked QB Drew Brees in the fourth quarter. Wake now has 83.5 sacks in his career. Dating back to 2009, this is the second-highest total among NFL players in that span and second in Dolphins history. Wake also had three tackles for loss and two quarterback hits in the game.

DOLPHINS CONTINUE TO PLAY WELL AGAINST THE RUN

  • The Dolphins held New Orleans to just 86 rushing yards on 28 attempts for a 3.1 average. Miami has held all three of their opponents this season to less than 110 yards rushing and are allowing just 3.1 yards per attempt this season. The Dolphins 77.7 rushing yards allowed per game and 3.1 yards per attempt allowed are seventh and fourth respectively entering today’s 1 p.m. games.

DeVANTE PARKER REACHES 100 CAREER RECEPTIONS

  • WR DeVante Parker caught his 100th career reception in today’s game. Parker led the team with six catches for 69 yards (11.5 avg.) this afternoon.

  • There were 84,423 tickets distributed to today’s game. It is the third-highest attended regular season game in Dolphins history, fifth-most including playoffs and the highest of the team’s four games at Wembley Stadium.
  • LS John Denney played in his 195th consecutive game, extending his team-best streak, which is fifth among all active NFL players. Denney’s 195 career games played are fourth in team history.
  • DT Ndamukong Suh started his 86th consecutive game. It’s the second-longest games started streak among active NFL defensive linemen behind Domata Peko’s 114 straight starts.

  • RB Jay Ajayi ran out of the tunnel today carrying a flag in support of Sports Relief. Sport Relief, launched in 2002, is a televised charity event in association with the BBC. It combines the worlds of sport with entertainment and raises money for vulnerable people, both in the UK and in less economically-developed countries. The NFL intends to partner with Sport Relief in the UK throughout the 2017 season, leading into the Sport Relief broadcast 2018.
