Guard/Tackle Laremy Tunsil

(On how his spring went) – “Pretty good. I’ve still got to get better with a lot of things. Get in that playbook, learn those plays. Like I said, it’s been a good minicamp, but I still got to get better in a lot of different ways.”

(On the most difficult part about learning guard) – “Just adjusting to a new position. It’s a new position but there’s nothing hard about it. Like I said, I’ve got to get in the playbook, get everything down and get into shape.”

(On if he’s worried that he hasn’t been practicing with the first team) – “No, not at all. There’s a lot of good people in front of me. I’m just going to work every day to get better.”

(On if he feels like he has to earn his respect) – “Right. Just like you were in college when you were a freshman.”

(On how much he is looking forward to put on the pads in training camp) – “That’s the best part right there – putting the pads on. Just coming out with the team and hitting is a good thing.”

(On what he will do over the next five weeks) – “Work out, get in the playbook (and) still continuing to get better. You don’t want to be slacking off.”

(On if he is going to stay in South Florida for the next five weeks) – “I might go back to Mississippi.”

(On if he has a “hit list” for training camp of guys that were able to get by him in OTAs without pads on) – “Nah, no hit list. I’m just trying to get better.”

(On if he thinks it is fair to evaluate offensive linemen without pads on) – “I mean, yeah – athleticism and other things. But putting pads on is a different reason and a different thing so just wait until we get the pads on and everything should be good.”

(On if there was a little pushing and shoving out there today) – “(It’s) all fun and games. All fun and games, that’s all it is.”

(On what coaches are telling him about his technique and hand placement) – “Like I said, everything needs to get better. Everything needs to be in one motion. I still need to work every day at the position.”

(On the influence of T Branden Albert) – “Just somebody that’s been in the league nine years, you have to look up to him because he works hard and does everything right. That’s a good vet to look up to.”

(On what has impressed him about T Branden Albert) – “Everything. Everything he does from getting into the meeting rooms to doing everything on the field and going 100 percent. He’s teaching me everything. He’s a vet. He’s been here nine years so he’s doing something right.”

(On what he wants to accomplish between now and training camp) – “Just being in the best shape I can be and get in that playbook.”

(On what he has learned from the offseason program) – “I’ve never been through it before but it’s a process. Everything is going to come along one day. It’s just a process. I’m just continuing to get better, get in the playbook and everything will come to you.”

(On if he’s going to work out at Ole Miss) – “Probably.”

(On who he will work out with at Ole Miss) – “The strength coordinator, probably. I don’t have anybody.”

(On if he’s enjoyed himself so far) – “It’s football. This is your job so you got to enjoy it.”

(On the message that he has been getting from T Branden Albert) – “The message he’s been giving me is, ‘Go 100 percent, rook.’ He always says rook. ‘Go 100 percent, rook. Go 100 percent, youngster.’ He always says youngster. That’s a good thing to hear from a vet. He’s always inspiring (and he’s) somebody I can look up to.”

(On if ‘rook’ is something T Branden Albert will call him all year) – “I’m cool with that. You’ve got to earn respect somewhere.”
