WR Albert Wilson
(How did you go about impressing the coaches when you earned a roster spot as a rookie free agent in Kansas City?) – “Just made it pretty much hard for the coaches. I stayed in my playbook. I knew everything I had to do and when I got out there on the field, I made the best of it and took advantage of every opportunity.”
(As an established player, how do you look at that final preseason game?) – “For the young guys, it’s just a great opportunity. You go out there (and) it’s your team. You’ve just got to go make it hard for the people upstairs (and) give them something they’ve got to look over and make it tough for them.”
(What have you liked most about your training camp/preseason?) – “It’s been going smooth. I feel like I’ve picked up on a lot of things in the playbook that the offense is trying to do. That was my main goal, just get in here and try to not have the offense miss a step and try to advance three steps. And I feel like that’s what we’ve been working on. I feel like we’re pretty close.”

(Next, week this locker room will drastically change next week and all of the friendships and the bonds with guys that you’ve been helping out. How difficult is that knowing that there is a business side to this?) – “No question. It’s tough. You form relationships with everyone in the locker room and that’s the way the business goes. Those friendships carry on forever, so it’s all good.”
(The wide receiver corps is probably the deepest position on the team. How do you think that’s going to shake up? What do you tell the guys that might be on the cusp?) – “Just worry about what you can control and give it your all. If you don’t make this team, you have opportunities to make other teams, other practice squads and stuff like that. I was a guy in that position, so I know how it goes. Just give it your all.”
David Fales – August 27, 2018

QB David Fales
(What kind of camp do you feel like you’ve had?) – “Decent. I feel like there are a couple things … There were a couple of days where I want a little bit more consistency, but I feel like I’ve had a solid camp.”
(How do you approach this final preseason game knowing this is pretty much the nitty-gritty for you?) – “Like the same as the last three. Just prepared and just compete.”
(Do you feel like it’s all on the line on Thursday?) – “You can’t put pressure on one game. It’s a group of games and camp, so I’m approaching it the same way I did the last three weeks.”
(Is it difficult not to catch yourself looking ahead?) – “Of course it’s hard. You want to be here and it is hard, but you’ve got to … You can’t … That’s not going to help you today or getting ready for this game, so I try to stay away from that.”

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake
(A couple of explosive plays for you tonight. Can you talk about the big run you had first?) – “Yes, it was a trap designed play. I ran to the three technique, he slammed down. It was a great design by (Head Coach Adam) Gase so I was just happy to do the easy part and run through a big hole. I should have finished a little better. I was just trying to cut back, but preseason I’m just trying to get a feel for the running lanes things like that.”
(The first team offense finally punches in a touchdown. Is it a sign that things are coming together?) – “Yes. We weren’t really too concerned about not really putting anything into the end zone. Obviously, we had a lot of self-inflicted penalties in the earlier preseason games so once we kind of got everything situated, everything came together how it was supposed to after a couple of bad series in the first quarter. Once things kind of came together, we moved the ball well, got into our huddle cadence then we could wear down the defense and get the ball into the end zone.”
(The drive where you guys scored the touchdown, I think (TE Mike) Gesicki had and (WR Danny) Amendola had a catch. There were balls moving around which is what you guys want, isn’t it? – “Yes, for sure. That’s the key to this offense is getting the ball in our playmakers hands all over the field. We are just looking forward to doing a lot more of that as the season comes into fruition.”
(That’s back-to-back games for you with a 30-yard run plus. What does that do for you and the offense?) – “Just gives us confidence. I want to be a player that can be relied on to make big plays and spark the offense when we might be in a little bit of a stall. (Head Coach Adam) Gase has a great scheme. I just go out there and try to run through the holes as best as possible. Obviously, breaking the long run is a testament to the line, the receivers blocking downfield, so my job is the easy part, which is just to find an open space and hit it as hard as I can. I’m just looking forward to making more big plays as the season kind of continues.
(Sneaking out of the backfield too to make a catch gives the defense something else to worry about too, doesn’t it?) – “Yes. I like to have a versatile game. That’s what I want to bring to this team, make plays anywhere, anytime on the field. (Ryan) Tannehill made a great throw. I’m just glad I caught the ball.”

(How much do you think you’ve improved from last year to this year?) – “I think I improved a lot. I’m not thinking as much as I was last year. I’m just going out there and playing, not thinking as much.”
(Talk a little bit about that play, where you were able to get a hand up.) – “I had two last year. I had one against (Justin) Tucker last year and to go out there and get it again. That’s one of my goals, to block the kick. Every chance to get, I just go out there and make it happen. (Davon) Godchaux gave me a good push so shout-out to him.”
(You kind of got a knack for that. It’s a matter of timing too isn’t it?) – “Yeah it is. At Oklahoma State that was one of the things I was doing. Like I said, last year I got my hand on two, one which was Tucker last year, just to get my hand on it today was good.”
(It’s kind of an overlooked thing but it’s an important part of the game isn’t it?) – “Yeah, in D-Line we go by a points system and one of the top things is a field goal block. It’s actually the highest points. So for that to be on my production sheet is going to be huge.”

Miami Dolphins G Josh Sitton
(Did it feel good to see that first team offense punch in a touchdown?) – “Yes, that was nice. We’ve been kind of killing ourselves in the red zone, so it was nice to finally get in the end zone there.”
(What felt better about that drive and overall tonight?) – “I think one positive was our tempo. We were getting up and getting lined up for the calls. (QB) Ryan (Tannehill) was pushing the tempo real hard. After a big play we were getting up fast. That’s what we want to do, that’s what this offense is based on.”
(Fast break football. Are you guys good for that for a quarter, a half, a whole game?) – “I think it’s one of those things that you feel how the game is going. Coach (Adam) Gase is good with feeling that out. If we can go and get one first down, we can really be effective with the fast break, no huddle, whatever you want to call it.”
(You guys as an offensive line have really been together, it’s pretty much been set. Is that starting to show now that you guys are getting used to each other?) – “I think it’s starting to build and that chemistry is coming. Things are coming a little bit more natural as the weeks have gone on throughout the offseason and preseason. There’s things that take time. Footwork here, things like communication, sometimes you have to talk too much when you’re playing next to somebody new. So, we’re starting to get a feel for each other and it’s good.”

Miami Dolphins LB Kiko Alonso
“You don’t need to ask. I don’t have much to say. I did a flip and that’s it. I kind of ran off the field and I was fine. It was just silly.”
(Did the guys give you any trouble?) – “On my team?”
(Yes.) – “Yes, of course I’m definitely going to hear that for a while and it’s well deserved.”
(What did the Ravens say to you? It looked like Head Coach John Harbaugh said something to you.) – “I don’t know. I just kind of – like I said, I did a flip after I tackled the guy, and kind of just ran over there and it was the wrong sideline.”
(How would you evaluate how the defense did tonight?) – “I don’t know. I have to go watch the film. At the end of the day, we have to keep points off the board. We gave them three points so I can live with that.”
(They had a 16-play drive there where you only allowed three points. You would consider that a win, right?) – “Yes. When they get in the red zone, we definitely want to hold them to three. That was the plan.”

Miami Dolphins LB Raekwon McMillan (transcribed by Ken Mendonça)
(Are you feeling more comfortable in this defense?) – “For sure. When I came out in the first game, (I was) a little rusty. I had a couple in the second game as well, but I think we came out as a defense and during this week of practice, we told ourselves we were going to come out hot. I think we came out pretty good. Our second drive we had a three and out. Our first drive we had a couple of penalties, but we did what we had to do.”
(Do you think your fits were better tonight?) – “Yeah, I think we fit a lot better. We had one long run. We had blitzed away and they ran opposite – they ran power opposite – but other than that, I think we had a pretty solid night.”
