Miami Dolphins Day 3 Draft Announcers

WHEN: Saturday, April 27, 2019; 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
10 – 11 a.m. Interviews with draft announcers

WHERE: Baptist Health Training Facility (Bubble) – 7500 SW 30th Street in Davie, Florida 33314

PARKING: Live TV trucks must park in the designated spots in the East Lot, accessible from the main entrance. All other media will be in the West (Business) Lot, which is located to the right once you pull into the main entrance of the facility. Please note the HPD Garage will not be open. Media are encouraged to work in the team auditorium for their needs.

DETAILS: In recognition of the Miami Dolphins community mission of #TeamWorkAtWork, an initiative to level the playing field through the power of teamwork to inspire a healthier, more educated and united South Florida community representatives from the FOOTBALL UNITES program and Dolphins Cancer Challenge will announce the team’s day three draft selections.

Day 3 Draft Announcers

  • Draft Announcer Round 4: Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC), Sonia Rodriguez
    • The DCC is Miami Dolphins’ largest signature charity event and has raised more than $27.5 million since inception and donating 100 percent of participant-raised funds to Sylvester.
    • The DCC’s mission is to improve people’s lives through financial support for innovative cancer research at South Florida’s only academic-based cancer center – Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Health System
    • Sonia Rodriguez was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at 16 years old and is now in remission. As a senior in high school, she participated in her first DCC this past April as a survivor and has been selected to make the fourth round draft announcement.
  • Draft Announcer Round 5 – Football Unites
    • Through FOOTBALL UNITES, the Dolphins are creating opportunities for South Florida-based groups to strengthen and expand their impact around community engagement, education and justice reform
    • Community partner representatives of FOOTBALL UNITES will be on hand to make draft announcements throughout the day. These include:

    • ADL Women of Tomorrow
    • Miami Gardens Police Dept. Explorers
    • Pridelines
    • Special Olympics
