POSTGAME NOTES

LANDRY IS NFL’S NEW RECEPTIONS LEADER

  • With five receptions for 51 yards (10.2 avg.) today, WR Jarvis Landry now has 103 receptions this season. As of the end of today’s 1 p.m. games, his 103 receptions led the NFL.
  • Landry is the only player in Dolphins history to have 100 receptions in a single season and he’s now accomplished the feat twice. He set the team record of 110 receptions in 2015.
  • Landry can break his own team record for single-season receptions (110) with eight receptions in the season finale next week vs. Buffalo.
  • Landry now has 895 receiving yards this season. He needs 105 receiving yards in the season finale vs. Buffalo to become the first player in Dolphins history to record three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.
  • With his 51 receiving yards today, Landry now has 3,946 receiving yards in his career. He needs 54 receiving yards next week vs. Buffalo to top the 4,000-yard mark in just his fourth NFL season.
  • With five receptions today, Landry now has 391 receptions in his career. He needs nine receptions next week vs. Buffalo to reach 400 career receptions in just his fourth NFL season.
  • Landry continues to extend his NFL record for most receptions in the first four seasons of a career with 391.
  • Landry continues to be the only NFL player with at least five receptions in every game this season.

GRANT BUSTS OUT FOR FIRST 100-YARD GAME

  • WR Jakeem Grant had four catches for 107 yards (26.8 avg.), the first 100-yard game of his two-year NFL career.
  • Grant finished with 101 receiving yards in the first half, marking Miami’s first 100-yard receiver in a half since WR Kenny Stills had 154 receiving yards in the second half vs. Tampa Bay on Nov. 19, 2017. That was also Miami’s last 100-yard performance for an entire game.

DOLPHINS BIG PLAYS COME FROM MANY SOURCES

  • In 2017, the Dolphins have two players with 60-plus yard runs with RB Kenyan Drake (69 yards) and RB Damien Williams (61 yards) and two players with 60-plus yard receptions WR Kenny Stills (61 yards) and WR Jakeem Grant (65 yards). It is the first time since 2005 that the Dolphins have accomplished that feat when RB Ronnie Brown (65 yards) and WR Chris Chambers (61 yards) had 60-plus yard runs and Chambers (77 yards) and WR Marty Booker (60 yards) had 60-plus yard receptions.

KENYAN DRAKE CONTINUES PACING

  • With 57 rushing yards today, RB Kenyan Drake now has 369 rushing yards on 77 carries (4.8 avg.) since he became the featured back in Week 13. Drake’s 369 rushing yards are fourth in the NFL in that span, at the end of today’s 1 p.m. games.
  • As of the end of today’s 1 p.m. games, Drake is third in the NFL with 504 yards from scrimmage since he became the lead running back in Week 13.
  • If Drake’s 369 rushing yards in the last four games was the same pace he had in a full 16-game season, he’d rush for 1,476 yards.

JONES SETS CAREER HIGH IN TACKLES

  • Fresh off being named to the second Pro Bowl of his career, S Reshad Jones set a career high with 15 tackles (12 solo) today. Jones also tallied two tackles for loss and one pass defensed.
  • His 15 tackles today were the most by a Dolphins player in a single game since LB Jelani Jenkins had 16 on Dec. 1, 2014 at N.Y. Jets.
  • Jones’ 12 solo tackles were the most by a Dolphins player in a single game since S Yeremiah Bell had 14 solo stops on Oct. 2, 2011 at San Diego.
  • Jones topped the 650-tackle plateau in today’s game.
