Cornerback Byron Maxwell

(How did you feel you guys yesterday on the sideline when you guys saw QB Ryan Tannehill go down? With this being a day after now, how is it affecting the team?) – “I’m not sure, really, to be honest with you. (We’re) still feeling it out. Obviously, losing the starting quarterback is key – very important. We’re just trying to figure it out right now. We’re trying to get the right emotions and go forward from here.”

(As you mentioned, an injury sucks to anybody but losing your starting quarterback…) – “Yes, you need your quarterback. In this league, you need a quarterback to win. So that’s a big … He has the ball in his hands on every play. So, we’ll go from there. The reaction is crazy. I’m just like (you guys), I’m waiting to see what happens.”

(Maybe you didn’t much about QB Matt Moore but what did you learn about him yesterday?) – “Matt, he’s going to go hard. He’s going to go down fighting. I do know that. He’s not afraid of the moment and I just know that from being around him. He’s not afraid of the moment. He’s confident. He’s ready for it, at least. He’s experienced.”

(You guys go against him in practice?) – “Yes.”

(Is that fun going against QB Matt Moore?) – “Yes, definitely.”
