Postgame – Cincinnati

WR Isaiah Ford (transcribed by Bryce Reddick)

(Forgive me for not knowing this – were you on the field for the onside kick?) – “Yeah.”

(How did that look from your vantage point?) – “I was in the back so I kind of had a wide view of everything. The kicker got a good bounce on it. Once it popped up in the air, it was kind of just a scramble for the ball and they ended up getting it.”

(What did you think of DT Christian Wilkins’ touchdown catch? Coming from a defensive lineman, that was some pretty good hands?) – “Yeah, it looked nice! He kind of reached out with one hand a little bit and got it. The ball security was bad, but he recovered it in the end zone. (laughter) It was pretty good. It was fun seeing him get that.”

(What has this last month been for you, personally? You’ve gotten a lot more involved in the offense now. You seemed to have the confidence of the coaching staff.) – “Right. It’s been a lot of fun. This is why you go out there and work your tail off all offseason and all practice. It’s to get in here on Sunday and kind of reap the benefits it … The biggest thing is just to continue to try to stack good days – every day, every rep, every meeting – building good habits and continuing to build on those things.”

(For the whole receiving corps to have the type of game you had – WR DeVante Parker going over 100 yards this game, going over 1,000 for the season. You, WR Albert Wilson, WR Allen Hurns, TE Mike Gesicki – what does that mean, especially the way team’s…?) – “Right. We pride ourselves on being the next-man-up group in there, and we feel like we all can make plays at any time. Just kind of building and feeding off each other – once DeVante got going, Albert got going, then Allen got hurt and then I got in and I got a few catches, as well. Trying to feed off each other and playing for each other.”
