Postgame – Dallas

WR Jakeem Grant (transcribed by Dallas Cowboys)

“After you drop the ball, you tend to be like that was an easy catch…but the thing is you’ve got to have next play mentality. At the point in time, we’ve got to continue to overcome the hump of dropping balls and stuff. We’ve got be where the quarterback can rely on us to make those tough catches.”

(On his muffed punt) —  “I’ll just say I simply misjudged it. I was in a crowd. I got a hand on it. I simply misjudged it. I was trying to weave through guys and make that catch. I’ve got to do better. I can’t leave that out there on the field…I know I can do it. I’ve been doing it for a while. I’ve just got to judge it right, step up into traffic and make those catches.”

(On the hit on Hurns) —  “I didn’t like it at all. I feel like it wasn’t a clean hit. The refs missed it. Hurns is like my big brother. So when it happened, it kind of flustered me and I was angry at it. That’s sometimes the way the game goes…I just feel sad for him because he comes out here, works hard and the next thing you know he gets a concussion. I just feel for him. I just go out there, play for him and keep him in my prayers and just tell him to bounce back, it’s a minor setback.  I can’t even explain the feeling he’s going through right now. So, I can only be by his side.”

(On confidence) —  “I feel like we showed a glimpse that we can be a really offense in the first half. I feel like we’ve got to continue to stay in tune and stay together. I feel like the confidence is always going to be there because we can see what we can do. We’ve just got to continue to play throughout the whole 4 quarters of the game.”
