LB Jerome Baker

(That Philly fanbase is a little different, isn’t it?) – “Oh yeah, I can’t wait. It’s going to be exciting just to go up there and see their fan base and see how they treat the opposing team. The energy is going to be there, so it’s just about performing now.”

(What is it about that Eagles’ fanbase because they’re pretty passionate?) – “They don’t care. They don’t care what you do, what you say. They don’t like you because you’re not an Eagle. That’s how it should be. They ride and die by their Eagles. It’s going to be a good one Sunday.”

(What do you make of the ‘Tush Push’ that the Eagles are doing?) – “I mean, I think it’s one of the toughest plays to stop. It’s not one of those things where anybody can run it. You really have to have a quarterback who can really do it, have an o-line that’s strong and get low. It works for them. It’s one of those things as a defender you just have to find ways to stop it and you have to have the manpower and will to stop it. All the talk about us getting rid of it, I’m not for that. If we can’t stop it, that’s our job. We have to find ways to stop it.”

(Not to disclose the gameplan, but you guys are aware of it, right?) – “I think everybody that’s a football fan is aware of that play. You have to look at it as if we don’t get them to get 1-yard, we have to hold them back. We just have to play football, play together. We’ll be alright.”

(I know it’s a common term, a measuring stick. Is this one when you face a team like that is leading the NFC East and they’re 5-1 as well like you guys?) – “I mean, at the end of the day, it’s our next game. But let’s be real here. We’re 5-1. They’re 5-1. This is a great test for us to see where we stack up against other great teams in this league. If we want to accomplish the things we want to accomplish, we’re going to have to face some good teams. Is it a measuring stick game? Yeah, I guess you could say that. Is it a game that we must win? Yeah, you can say that only because it’s the next game we have. It’s going to be a good one Sunday.”

(We saw CB Jalen Ramsey out there for the first time today. What was your feeling seeing No. 5 out there?) – “I think the main thing for me was he really cut his hair. Seeing that was kind of crazy to me. But it’s definitely good to see him out there. The passion and love he has for the game, even when he was out, he was still in meetings. He was still coaching guys up. That’s all you can ask for. He was still leading. Just to see him back out there is a testament to the work he put in. He came back pretty fast, so hopefully he can get back right, and you’ll see him out there with us.”

(How did CB Jalen Ramsey look to you? When we saw him out there, he seemed to be moving around.) – “He was moving to me. He went in with the scout team to get some reps in. Looked like he was getting back to it. Of course, there’s going to be some rust. He’s been out a few weeks. But he’s one of the great players to play this game, so he’s going to be alright.”

(Is it surprising in a way? Because meniscus surgery, that timetable is long.) – “That’s just a testament to who he is. He truly put his head down, has God in his life first. He was in that training room non-stop. He got back to it, so that’s just a testament to the player we have.”

(You said CB Jalen Ramsey was on scout team?) – “Yeah, just to get back to it and play some football. He looked good to me.”
