WR Kenny Stills

(How does this change when a quarterback like this comes in? How does it change for the offense?) – “Honestly, nothing has changed for us. The guy isn’t here. He hasn’t signed. We’ve got our guy in Matt Moore. We trust in him and that’s about it.”

(You’ve been in the league, what do you think of QB Jay Cutler?) – “Honestly I’ve never played for him, I’ve never played with him so I can’t really comment on it.”

(What was it like having former Lions WR Calvin Johnson out here working with you?) – “Man, it’s amazing. He played for (Wide Receivers) Coach (Shawn) Jefferson. That’s how he and Coach Jefferson have that relationship. He comes right in and it feels like he can speak to what we are doing, coach us up and give us little tips and pointers here and there. It’s amazing having him here. He was a special player. If any of us can do some of the things that he did, we’re on the right track.”

(You mentioned relationships. How quickly does it take a receiver and quarterback to build that relationship when you bring a new quarterback in?) – “It’s just repetitions. We’ve got to get out there and get the reps together and continue to work on building that. It’s not something that we are worried about. We’ve got our guy. You guys know what he can do. We’re confident in this building, the people upstairs, to do the right things for this team. That’s where we’re at.”

(Have you ever met QB Jay Cutler before today?) – “No.”

(Had you guys done nothing and just moved forward with QB Matt Moore, do you think the locker room would’ve felt pretty good about that?) – “The guys in the locker room trust the guys upstairs. That’s all we have to say. We know that we got the guys in the locker room to do what we need to do. We trust what they are going to do for this team. They put us in the right position for the most part now. You’ve seen the success we’ve had last year. We trust what they are doing.”
