Postgame – Cleveland

CB Nik Needham (transcribed by Cleveland Browns)

(On the defensive pass interference being overturned and called on him…) – “Yes, because it was against a premier receiver in the league. I am a rookie, undrafted. I understand that. I should go out there and play whatever happens. It is on to the next play.”

(On that type of defensive interference calls typically not being overturned…) – “That is what I thought. They overturned it, so it is fine.”

(On facing a very talented Browns receiving corps…) – “At the end of the day, like I said last week, if I am out there on the field, I need to be competing and doing my job. It does not matter who is over there. I need to execute and make plays on the ball. I did not do that much this game. It was tough for me, but I need to bounce back. That is all I can do.”

(On guarding Browns WR Jarvis Landry…) – “It was cool, a tough matchup. He has good hands. You can tell he is a veteran. On that one play, I was in his back hip and he did not show any eyes or hands and caught it right away. It is something I have to get used to and adjust to. Good receiver for sure. I wished we played them again.”
