LB Vince Biegel

(Let’s talk about ending the season on such a high note yesterday. How did that feel for the locker room here?) – “I think it was a huge win for the team, especially with it being the last game, to be able to kind of carry that momentum and that energy into the offseason is going to be huge for us. I think this season has been full of ups and downs, but the way this team has really been able to battle through all of the adversity, all of the injuries and all of the talk outside of this locker room and really kind of come together and finish strong with these last two games has been awesome to see. I’m fired up for the offseason and getting some time away from the game; but I’m excited to get back here and get ready to work for the 2020 season.”

(What is it about Head Coach Brian Flores that has gotten guys to really buy in, even after the start that you guys had?) – “I think ‘Coach Flo’ has just been consistent. I got here September 1st, so it was Week 1 – and I think for me, just the time that I’ve spent with him, the 17 weeks, is his consistency. It’s been the same message, it’s been the same ‘Coach Flo’ on Day 1 as it is today. The message has remained the same, and that’s getting better every single day. It’s a credit to these young guys in this locker room, who have had that mindset of getting better every single day, and I think it really showed yesterday when we beat the Patriots.”

(What does a win like yesterday do – to end the season – heading into and looking ahead to 2020 with this team?) – “I think it also too speaks to ‘Coach Flo’s’ message. The guys are bought in. ‘Coach Flo’ has really laid down his foundation and if we buy into what he’s doing, the results are going to take care of itself like you saw on Sunday. If guys continue to buy in and have a great offseason, I think there are going to be some fun things to come in 2020.”
