POSTGAME NOTES

KENNY STILLS HAS CAREER DAY

  • WR Kenny Stills finished today’s game with a career-high 180 receiving yards on seven catches (25.7 avg.) and one touchdown. His previous career high was 162 yards at Pittsburgh on Nov. 30, 2014.
  • The 180 receiving yards is tied for the seventh-most in a game in Dolphins history.
  • His 180 receiving yards today are the most by a Dolphin since WR Brian Hartline had a team-record 253 receiving yards at Arizona on Sept. 30, 2012.
  • Stills averaged 25.7 yards per reception today, the fourth-best mark in a single game in Dolphins history (min. 7 rec.):

HIGHEST RECEIVING YARDS PER CATCH IN A GAME (min. 7 rec.)

4. Kenny Stills 11/19/17 TB 7 180 25.7
5. Ted Ginn Jr. 10/26/08 Buf. 7 175 25.0
  • This was the fifth 100-yard receiving game of Stills’ career.
  • Stills’ seven receptions are the second-highest of his career behind an eight-catch performance vs. Baltimore on Nov. 24, 2014.

DAMIEN WILLIAMS HAS 69-YARD RUN ON FIRST CARRY

  • RB Damien Williams started today’s game with a 69-yard run on Miami’s first carry. The rush was the ninth-longest in team history and longest since an 85-yard touchdown by RB Lamar Miller Houston on Oct. 25, 2015.
  • Williams also had a 24-yard reception in the game, which is his longest of the season.
  • RB Kenyan Drake had a 66-yard run last week at Carolina. It is the second time in franchise history the Dolphins had 60-yard rushes in back-to-back games.
    • The last time Miami had two different players with 60-yard rushes in the same season was 2005 when RB Ronnie Brown had a 65-yarder and WR Chris Chambers had a 61-yard rush.
    • The last time the Dolphins had two different running backs with 60-yard rushes in the same season was 1978 when RB Gary Davis had a 65-yard carry (Sept. 17, 1978 vs. Buffalo) and RB Norm Bulaich had a 63-yard rush (Sept. 10, 1978 at Baltimore) in back-to-back weeks.
  • This is the first time since at least 1994 the Dolphins have had three straight games with a 40-yard rush. RB Kenyan Drake had a 42-yard rush three games ago on Nov. 5 vs. Oakland.
  • Williams’ 78 rushing yards today are a career high. His 10 attempts are the second-most of his career.

LANDRY’S SIXTH RECEIVING TOUCHDOWN IS A CAREER HIGH

  • WR Jarvis Landry caught six passes for 95 yards (15.8 avg.) and one touchdown.
  • Landry caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from QB Jay Cutler in the first quarter. The touchdown reception was Landry’s sixth of the season, a career high.
  • Entering this afternoon’s games, six receiving touchdowns would be third in the NFL.
  • Landry’s six receptions give him 67 for the season, which would be second in the NFL entering today’s games.

MOORE THROWS FOR 282 YARDS IN SECOND HALF

  • QB Matt Moore entered the game in the third quarter and completed 17-of-28 passes (60.7 pct.) for 282 yards and one touchdown in a comeback effort that fell just short.
  • Moore’s 282 passing yards are the fifth-most of his career and the second-most by a Dolphins quarterback this season behind QB Jay Cutler’s 311-yard effort vs. Oakland on Nov. 5, 2017.
