STILLS TOPS 3,000 CAREER YARDS

• With five receptions for 65 yards tonight, WR Kenny Stills went over 3,000 receiving yards for his career. He finished the game with 3,051 career receiving yards.
• Stills is one of 58 active NFL wide receivers to top 3,000 career receiving yards.

TAYLOR BLOCKS HIS FIRST NFL KICK

• DT Vincent Taylor earned his first NFL blocked kick after he got a hand on a 46-yard field goal attempt by K Justin Tucker.
• A sixth-round rookie (194th overall), Taylor had a knack for blocking kicks in college. He blocked five of them at Oklahoma State, tying the school’s all-time career record.
• It was Miami’s first blocked field goal since DT Earl Mitchell blocked one on Nov. 9, 2014 at Detroit.

DOLPHINS COME BACK AGAIN, DEFEAT JETS

• The Dolphins have now won 13 of their past 17 regular season games. Their 13-4 mark in their past 17 games is tied for the second-best record in the NFL behind New England (14-3) and tied with Kansas City (13-4).
  • The team has accomplished this despite starting three different quarterbacks in that span – Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore and Jay Cutler.
  • The last time Miami won 13 of 17 regular season games was from Oct. 28, 2001 to Oct. 13, 2002.
• Miami overcame a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit to win the game after coming back from a 17-point halftime deficit to win last week at Atlanta. The last time the Dolphins won consecutive games trailing by 14-plus points in a second half was a three-game streak from Sept. 14-28, 1980.
  • The Dolphins were down 14-0 and won 17-14 vs. Cincinnati on Sept. 14, trailed 17-3 and rallied back to a 20-17 win at Atlanta on Sept. 21 and down 16-0 vs. New Orleans and came back to a 21-16 win on Sept. 28.
• Miami is now 4-2, its best record after six games since 2003.
• The Dolphins have won nine of their past 11 games played at Hard Rock Stadium. It is the team’s best home stretch since they won 11 of 12 from Sept. 23, 2001 to Oct. 6, 2002.
• Miami is now tied, at least temporarily, with New England and Buffalo for first place in the AFC East at 4-2. The Patriots are currently 4-2 and host Atlanta tonight.
  • The last time the Dolphins had a share of first place in the AFC East in Week 7 or later was at the end of the 2008 season, when they won the division.
• Miami has now won its first two games at Hard Rock Stadium for the first time since 2005.

THE SECOND HALF – DOLPHINS 17, JETS 7

• Miami outscored the Jets 17-7 in the second half to erase a 7-point halftime deficit and win the game.
• The Dolphins defense has held their opponents to 7 points or less in the second half in three straight games, all wins.
• Miami’s defense allowed the Jets to gain just 81 yards in the second half and forced two turnovers.
  • It’s the third straight game the Dolphins have held their opponents to less than 110 yards in the second half.
• The Dolphins have now outscored their opponents 65-48 in the second half of games this season, a +17 point differential.

MOORE LEADS DOLPHINS TO FOURTH-QUARTER COMEBACK

• QB Matt Moore engineered the fifth fourth-quarter comeback of his career today against the Jets.
• The 14-point fourth-quarter deficit was the largest comeback victory of his career.
  • His previous largest comeback was down seven points (trailing 20-13 to winning 23-20) against San Francisco on Oct. 24, 2010.
  • This marks the second time in as many weeks that Dolphins quarterbacks have posted the largest comebacks in their respective careers. QB Jay Cutler engineered the largest comeback of his career, trailing 17-0 at halftime to bounce back and win at Atlanta.
• It is Moore’s second career fourth-quarter comeback against the Jets. He also engineered a fourth-quarter comeback against the Jets on Jan. 1, 2012, taking the Dolphins from a 10-6 deficit to a 19-17 win.
• Moore’s last comeback win came on Dec. 24, 2016 at Buffalo when Miami trailed 31-28 in the fourth quarter but came back to win 34-31 in overtime.

MOORE AND CUTLER COMBINE FOR FOUR TD PASSES

• QB Jay Cutler gave the Dolphins two first-half touchdown passes and QB Matt Moore threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes, giving the Dolphins quarterbacks a combined four touchdown passes today.
  • The last time the Dolphins had two different quarterbacks throw at least two touchdowns each in a game was Scott Mitchell (2) and Steve DeBerg (2) against the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 19, 1993.
  • The last time Miami had two different quarterbacks throw one touchdown in the same game was on Nov. 14, 2010 when Chad Henne (1) and Tyler Thigpen (1) did so against Tennessee.

WAKE POST 2.5 SACKS IN WIN

• DE Cameron Wake had 2.5 sacks in today’s win. It’s the most sacks he’s had in a game since Oct. 18, 2015 at Tennessee when he had four.
• Wake is now the NFL’s leader in sacks (87.5) since he entered the league in 2009.
• Wake ranks No. 2 in team history with 87.5 career sacks and trails Jason Taylor by just five (92.5) for the most in a player’s first nine seasons with the Dolphins.
• His 87.5 career sacks are second-most all-time by an undrafted player in the NFL (excludes Supplemental Draft picks)
• It was the 16th time in Wake’s career that he posted two or more sacks in game, the second-most in Dolphins history (Jason Taylor had 25).
  • Wake has 21 multiple sack games in his career (1.5 sacks or more).

STILLS HAULS IN TWO TDs

• WR Kenny Stills hauled in a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns today, one from 28 yards out and a 2-yard score that tied the game with 6:19 to go.
• The two scores tied Stills’ career high, which was set on Oct. 27, 2013 vs. Buffalo when he played for the New Orleans Saints.
• Stills leads the Dolphins with four receiving touchdowns this season. He led the team and was tied for sixth in the NFL with nine receiving touchdowns in 2016.
  • His four receiving touchdowns would be tied for seventh in the NFL entering today’s games.

PARKEY HITS AGAIN TO WIN THE GAME

• K Cody Parkey connected on a 39-yard field goal with 22 seconds remaining to give Miami the 31-28 victory.
• It’s Parkey’s third game-winning kick and fourth game-tying or game-winning kick in just six games this season.
  • He connected on a 49-yard field goal to tie the game with 8:34 left and a 38-yard field goal to win the game with 2:30 left in the fourth quarter last week at Atlanta.
  • Parkey also kicked a 54-yard field goal with 1:05 remaining to win in Week 2 at L.A. Chargers.
• It was the fifth game-winning kick of Parkey’s career.
• Parkey is now a perfect 8-for-8 in field goal attempts this season. He is one of just four NFL kickers to be perfect on field goal attempts this season.

DOLPHINS ANSWER JETS SCORE ON FIRST POSSESSION

• Miami answered an opening-drive score by the Jets with one of their own, going 75 yards on five plays in 2:11, capped off by a 4-yard touchdown pass from QB Jay Cutler to WR Jarvis Landry.
• Landry’s touchdown is his third of the season. He has now scored in three straight games for the first time in his career.
• The key play of the drive was when QB Jay Cutler hit WR Kenny Stills for a 36-yard gain to move Miami to the 4-yard line. It was the Dolphins’ longest offensive play of the season so far.

FASANO’S FIRST DOLPHINS TD SINCE 2012

• TE Anthony Fasano caught his first touchdown since he returned to Miami, a 4-yard pass from QB Jay Cutler. It was Fasano’s first touchdown reception for the Dolphins since Dec. 16, 2012 vs. Jacksonville.
• Fasano becomes just the fourth player in Dolphins history to record touchdown catches in two different tenures with the team. He caught 23 touchdowns in his first tenure with the team from 2008-12. Other Dolphins players with touchdown catches in two different tours of duty include Larry Csonka (3 from 1968-74 and 1 in 1979), Tony Martin (9 from 1989-93 and 5 from 1999-2000) and James Pruitt (5 from 1986-88 and 3 from 1990-91).
• Fasano has caught 24 touchdown passes with the Dolphins, the second-most by a tight end in team history and one away from the all-time leader, Bruce Hardy.
