“Fins at 50” Anniversary Book Now In Print

Miami – The Miami Dolphins “Fins at 50” anniversary coffee table book chronicling and celebrating the rich 50-year history of Miami Dolphins football in now available in print. The 280-page keepsake was written by Andy Cohen and contains a recap of the Dolphins’ founding, a summary of each of the first 50 seasons of the team’s history, and special sections on a variety of elements of the club’s history, such as the Perfect Season, the Orange Bowl, international games, cheerleaders, broadcasters, Hall of Famers, evolution of the team’s uniform and logo and many more.

“Fins at 50” contains exclusive first-person accounts of key moments in Dolphins history, including a foreword by Don Shula, a personal account of the 1984 season by Dan Marino, reflections of Coach Shula by Bob Griese, memories of Super Bowls VII and VIII by the games’ Most Valuable Players Jake Scott and Larry Csonka, and Joe Auer’s description of his historic kickoff return for a touchdown on the franchise’s very first play in 1966.

It features one-of-a-kind photography, including many unique behind-the-scenes pictures dating back to the club’s inception in 1966. Additionally, “Fins at 50” boasts rarely displayed artifacts from the club’s archives, such as Marino’s rookie contract, the team’s original 1966 American Football League franchise certificate and a congratulatory telegram from President Richard Nixon to Coach Shula.
