Miami Dolphins activate Armstead
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have activated tackle Terron Armstead off the physically unable to perform list.
Armstead started 13 games at left tackle for Miami last year and was selected to the Pro Bowl for the fourth time in his career. He has played in 110 regular-season games with 106 starts and 10 postseason contests in his career. Armstead joined the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent from New Orleans on March 24, 2022. He was originally a third-round pick (75th overall) by New Orleans in the 2013 NFL Draft following his collegiate career at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed cornerback Eli Apple and activated tackle Isaiah Wynn off the physically unable to perform list.
Apple enters his eighth NFL season having played in 88 career games with 78 starts for four teams – the N.Y. Giants (2016-18), New Orleans (2018-19), Carolina (2020) and Cincinnati (2021-22). He’s recorded 332 tackles (273 solo), five interceptions, 51 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries. Apple started 30 games the past two seasons for Cincinnati, helping them win the AFC in 2021. He played collegiately at Ohio State where he won a CFP National Championship in 2015 before being selected with the 10th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Giants.
Wynn signed with Miami on May 15, 2023 after spending five years (2018-22) in New England. He’s played in 43 career games with 40 starts, including 33 at left tackle, six at right tackle and one at left guard. He also started a playoff contest in 2019. Wynn was originally a first-round pick (23rd overall) by New England in the 2018 NFL Draft following his collegiate career at Georgia.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have placed tackle Terron Armstead, tight end Tanner Conner and tackle Isaiah Wynn on the active/physically unable to perform list and activated cornerback Ethan Bonner off the non-football injury list.
Armstead started 13 games at left tackle for Miami last year and was selected to the Pro Bowl for the fourth time in his career. He has played in 110 regular-season games with 106 starts and 10 postseason contests in his career. Armstead joined the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent from New Orleans on March 24, 2022. He was originally a third-round pick (75th overall) by New Orleans in the 2013 NFL Draft following his collegiate career at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Conner appeared in 13 games as a rookie for Miami in 2022. He joined the team as an undrafted college free agent from Idaho State on May 13, 2022, where he was a first-team All-Big Sky selection at wide receiver in the spring of 2021. Conner also earned all-conference honors in track and field. He transitioned to tight end when he was signed by the Dolphins last year

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have placed cornerback Nik Needham on the active/physically unable to perform list.
Needham has played in 51 games with 27 starts for the Dolphins since signing as an undrafted college free agent with the team on May 9, 2019. He’s totaled 192 tackles (140 solo), 3.0 sacks, six interceptions, 25 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in his career, including a pick-six in Miami’s win over New Orleans on Monday Night Football on Dec. 27, 2021. As a rookie in 2019, Needham’s 11 passes defensed ranked second among the league’s first-year players that season.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have placed cornerback Ethan Bonner on the active/non-football injury list and placed linebacker Zeke Vandenburgh on injured reserve.
Bonner joined the Dolphins as an undrafted college free agent on May 12, 2023. He was a four-year letterman at Stanford, where he played in 21 games with 15 starts. As a senior in 2022, Bonner started 10 games, recording 29 tackles (20 solo) and five passes defensed.
Vandenburgh signed with Miami as an undrafted college free agent on May 12, 2023. He was a five-year letterwinner and four-year starter at Illinois State, where he appeared in 51 career games with 33 starts. Vandenburgh was the Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2022, leading all FCS players with 1.4 sacks per game (14.0 for the season).

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed their second-round pick, cornerback Cam Smith.
Smith was selected 51st overall by Miami in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was a four-year letterman (2019-22) and two-year starter at South Carolina, where he played in 33 games with 19 starts. Smith earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2021 and 2022. He led the team with 14 passes defensed in 2021. Smith intercepted six passes and had 24 passes defensed in his final three collegiate seasons (2020-22).
