Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed linebacker Rey Maualuga and placed wide receiver Isaiah Ford on injured reserve.

Maualuga is entering his ninth NFL season after spending the first eight years of his career (2009-16) with the Cincinnati Bengals. He has played in 114 career games with 104 starts and totaled 580 tackles (339 solo), four sacks, seven interceptions, 22 passes defensed, six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Maualuga has also played in five playoff games with four starts. He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (38th overall) by Cincinnati in the 2009 NFL draft.

Ford was a seventh-round pick (237th overall) by the Dolphins in the 2017 NFL draft. He was a three-year starter (2014-16) at Virginia Tech where he played in 40 career games with 37 starts. Ford recorded 210 receptions for 2,967 yards (14.1 avg.) and 24 touchdowns in his collegiate career. He is a native of Jacksonville, Florida.
