Miami Dolphins place 2 on PUP

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have placed running back De’Veon Smith and tackle Eric Smith on the active/physically unable to perform list.

De’Veon Smith was signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted college free agent on May 5, 2017. He was a four-year letterman (2013-16) and two-year starter at Michigan, where he played in 49 career games with 26 starts. During his collegiate career, Smith totaled 495 carries for 2,235 yards (4.5 avg.) and 22 touchdowns. He also caught 38 passes for 251 yards (6.6 avg.) and one touchdown. Smith earned All-Big Ten honorable mention recognition during his two seasons as a starter in 2015 and 2016.

Eric Smith joined the Dolphins as an undrafted college free agent on May 5, 2017. He started all four years (2013-16) at Virginia, where he played in 45 career games and started 44 consecutive games to finish his collegiate career. He was the team’s starting right tackle for every game from 2014-16.
