Miami Dolphins Sign Lansanah Download PDF version

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed linebacker Danny Lansanah and waived/injured wide receiver Tyler Murphy.

Lansanah played in 16 games with 11 starts for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015. He totaled 47 tackles (28 solo), one sack, four passes defensed and one forced fumble. Throughout his three-year NFL career, Lansanah has played in 38 games with 22 starts for the Green Bay Packers (2008) and Buccaneers (2013-15), totaling 126 tackles (86 solo), 2.5 sacks and three interceptions. He was originally signed by the Packers as an undrafted college free agent on May 2, 2008 and spent time on the practice squads of the Dolphins (2009), Detroit Lions (2009) and New York Jets (2013). Lansanah also played in the United Football League from 2010-12.

Murphy was signed by the Dolphins on Jan. 26, 2016 after spending the 2015 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in two games for the Steelers in 2015, recording one catch for 16 yards. He also had multiple stints on Pittsburgh’s practice squad. Murphy originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Steelers on May 3, 2015. He was a collegiate quarterback at Boston College after transferring from Florida for his senior season.
