MIAMI DOLPHINS WAIVE THREE

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have waived running back Jahwan Edwards, wide receiver Christion Jones and defensive end Damontre Moore.

Edwards joined Miami after signing to the team’s practice squad on Dec. 22, 2015. The Dolphins signed him to a futures/reserve contract on Jan. 5, 2016. Edwards also spent time on Atlanta and Jacksonville’s practice squads in 2015. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the San Diego Chargers on May 2, 2015 and went to training camp with the Chargers that season.

Jones signed with the Dolphins on March 8, 2016 after spending the 2015 offseason and training camp with the organization. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Miami on May 8, 2015 but was waived at the end of training camp on Sept. 9, 2015. Jones played collegiately at Alabama.

Moore was signed by the Dolphins on Dec. 15, 2015 and played in the final three games for Miami during the 2015 season. He recorded four tackles (three solo), one sack and one pass defensed. He also played 11 games for the New York Giants in 2015. Moore originally entered the NFL as a third-round draft choice (81st overall) by the New York Giants in 2013. During his career, Moore has totaled 45 games played with 50 tackles (36 solo) and 9.5 sacks.
