Miami Dolphins Unveil State-of-the-Art Baptist Health Training Complex
Miami Gardens, Fla. — The Miami Dolphins unveiled the team’s state-of-the-art Baptist Health Training Complex in front of guests and media. Completed by Moss Construction with interior design by Rockwell Group and architecture by ROSSETTI, the best-in-class venue was meticulously planned to create a contemporary, welcoming training environment for coaches, players, and staff.
“We invested a great deal of time and research in working to create a world-class sports performance facility,” said Stephen Ross, Miami Dolphins Chairman of the Board/Managing General Partner. “We are excited to partner with Baptist Health on this venue which will set a new standard for technology, innovation and training .”
Located in Miami Gardens, the 217,200 square feet complex (125,000 sq. feet training facility and 92,200 sq. feet indoor field) features:
- Outdoor practice area with two full natural grass field and full indoor practice facility
- Two-story weight room with a cardio deck
- Locker Rooms and a Players Lounge with multiple lounge areas and a barber shop
- A state-of-the-art hydrotherapy area
- Dedicated recovery area including cryotherapy and isolation tanks
- Athletic training room with expansive rehabilitation space
- A dining hall and fuel bar
- Shaded spectator seating holding up to 2,200 people
- Lush landscaping, including close to 16,000 flowers and shrubs, 210 palms and 128 total trees

The Baptist Health Training Complex is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and football systems. The audio-visual systems in the Auditorium, position classrooms, conference rooms, weight room, Field House, and outdoor fields were designed and built by industry leading integrator Diversified. 8K Solutions designed and integrated a fully robotic camera system for acquiring practice video and two immersive walls for interactive team and individual training. The facility also features Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband and an Extreme Networks Wi-Fi 6 deployment throughout.
The partnership with Baptist Health was an extension of a decades-long relationship with the Miami Dolphins, with the entity serving as the Official Medical Team of the Miami Dolphins as well as the Official Wellness and Sports Medicine Provider of the Miami Dolphins and the Training Complex. Baptist Health also is a proud partner of the Miami Dolphins Foundation working together on a series of initiatives around the health and safety of South Florida students, coaches, and parents to grow youth football participation in South Florida.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced that they have signed tackle Timon Parris.
Parris spent part of the offseason program with the Dolphins. He’s played in four career games, all with Washington from 2018-19. During the 2020 season, Parris spent time on Washington and Cleveland’s practice squads. He originally entered the NFL with Washington as an undrafted college free agent on May 1, 2018.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced that they have signed wide receiver Isaiah Ford and waived safety Brian Cole and center Tyler Gauthier.
Ford has played in 19 games with one start for the Dolphins since making his NFL debut in 2018. He’s totaled 51 career receptions for 520 yards (10.2 avg.) and has one carry for 11 yards. Ford originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick (237th overall) by the Dolphins in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Cole spent the entire 2020 season on Miami’s practice squad. He originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick (249th overall) by Minnesota in the 2020 NFL Draft. Cole was a two-year letterman (2018-19) and one-year starter at Mississippi State.
Gauthier spent 15 games of the 2020 season on Miami’s practice squad after he was signed on Sept. 16, 2020. He’s also spent time with Jacksonville and New England over the past two seasons (2019-20). Gauthier originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with New England on May 2, 2019.

Miami Dolphins announce preseason broadcast team
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced their preseason television broadcast team for the 2021 season.
Dolphins Hall of Fame defensive end/linebacker Jason Taylor will once again serve as an analyst for Dolphins preseason broadcasts. He’ll be joined in 2021 by Steve Goldstein, who will call play-by-play and Kim Bokamper, who will continue to serve as the sideline reporter.
Taylor is a first-ballot Hall of Famer, becoming just the second Dolphins defensive player (Nick Buoniconti) to be elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He finished his career with 139.5 sacks, which was sixth-most in NFL history at the time of his retirement following the 2011 season. Taylor’s nine defensive touchdowns are the most in NFL history by a defensive lineman or linebacker. He was named the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year in 2007 and earned three first-team All-Pro selections (2000, 2002 and 2006) and six Pro Bowl nods (2000, 2002, 2004-07).
It will be Taylor’s second season on the preseason television crew after he joined the broadcast team in 2019 (there were no preseason games in 2020). Taylor also serves as an analyst on the Miami Dolphins Radio Network and is the defensive coordinator for the two-time defending state champion St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale.
Goldstein has been the television play-by-play voice of the Florida Panthers since 2007. He has covered four Winter Olympics for CBS Radio/Westwood One, including hockey play-by-play at the 2014 Sochi and 2010 Vancouver games. Additionally, Goldstein has covered numerous Super Bowls and Stanley Cup Finals for Westwood One and the US Open for USTA, ESPN and the Tennis Channel.
A familiar voice in South Florida, Goldstein is currently an anchor for WFOR CBS4 and hosted pre- and post-game shows for the Miami Dolphins Radio Network from 1995-2004 and 2012-15. He’s also hosted morning shows on Miami’s Sports Radio AM 560 The Joe WQAM and 940 WINZ.
Bokamper began his career with the Miami Dolphins in 1976 as the team’s first round draft pick. During his 10 years with the Dolphins, he played both linebacker and defensive end, earning Pro Bowl recognition in 1980 as a linebacker. In addition to his sideline duties, Bokamper appears on Dolphins podcasts and hosts the “Coach Brian Flores Show.”
WFOR CBS4 returns as the preseason home of the Dolphins for the 25th consecutive season and will broadcast Miami’s preseason contests at Chicago (Saturday, Aug. 14) and vs. Atlanta (Saturday, Aug. 21) in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale market. The preseason game at Cincinnati (Sunday, Aug. 29) will air nationally on CBS.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced today their 2021 training camp schedule presented by Baptist Health with practices held at the new Baptist Health Training Complex in Miami Gardens. The team will hold its first public practice on Saturday, July 31 at 10:10 a.m. and will host the Atlanta Falcons for joint practices on Wednesday, August 18 and Thursday, August 19. Additional and up-to-date information about Miami Dolphins training camp can be found at miamidolphins.com/trainingcamp.
This will be the first training camp held at the Baptist Health Training Complex, a state-of-the-art, 227,000-square foot facility that will open in July 2021. The partnership with Baptist Health is an extension of a decades-long relationship with the Miami Dolphins. Baptist Health serves as the Official Medical Team and Official Wellness and Sports Medicine Provider of the Miami Dolphins and the Training Complex and is also a proud partner of the Miami Dolphins Foundation.
This year’s training camp will feature theme days, food trucks from local and minority-owned restaurants, face painting and the garage sale benefitting the Miami Dolphins Foundation. Fans in attendance at the Baptist Health Training Complex will experience practices under a shaded canopy over the seating area, culinary options from Centerplate at two concession stands and fan festivities.
Attendance for any of the 14 open practices is free, but fans must reserve tickets through the Miami Dolphins Account Manager by Ticketmaster. Fans can secure tickets for the 2021 Miami Dolphins training camp at https://am.ticketmaster.com/dolphins/trainingcamp. Tickets will be available early to Dolphins Season Tickets Members on Wednesday, July 7 and open to the general public on Thursday, July 8.
Due to health and safety precautions, player autographs and tours will not be available following practice.
