Miami Dolphins Elevate Eskridge

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have elevated wide receiver Dee Eskridge to the active roster for Monday’s game.

Eskridge is in his fourth NFL season and has appeared in 25 career games with Seattle (2021-23) and Miami (2024). He has recorded 18 receptions for 152 yards (8.4 avg.) and one touchdown, while contributing 456 yards on 18 kickoff returns (25.3 avg.). He appeared in Miami’s Week 3 matchup at Seattle, where he recorded one reception for 30 yards and contributed 28 yards on a kickoff return. He entered the NFL as a second-round selection (56th overall) by Seattle in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan (2016-20), where he appeared in 45 games and recorded 122 receptions for 2,260 yards (18.5 avg.) and 15 touchdowns.

Miami Dolphins Sign Farrell to Practice Squad

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed defensive tackle Neil Farrell to their practice squad.

Farrell has appeared in 12 career games with Las Vegas (2022) and Kansas City (2023). He’s recorded 13 tackles (four solo), one pass defensed and two tackles for loss. He originally entered the league as a fourth-round selection (126th overall) by Las Vegas in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at LSU (2017-2021), where he appeared in 52 career games with 21 starts and recorded 144 tackles (55 solo), 7.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and five passes defensed.

Miami Dolphins Make Roster Moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have placed wide receiver Grant DuBose on the reserve/injured list and signed quarterback Tim Boyle off their practice squad.

Additionally, the team elevated wide receivers Dee Eskridge and Erik Ezukanma to the active roster for Sunday’s game.

Boyle, who was signed to Miami’s practice squad on Aug. 29, 2024, has appeared in 20 career games with 5 starts with Green Bay (2019-20), Detroit (2021), Chicago (2022), and the N.Y. Jets (2023). He’s completed 114-of-183 passes (62.3 pct.) for 934 yards with four touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He originally entered the league as an undrafted college free agent with Green Bay in 2018. He finished his collegiate career at Eastern Kentucky, where he started all 11 games in 2017 and completed 201-of-327 passes for 2,134 yards with 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He transferred to EKU in 2016 from the University of Connecticut, where he played three seasons (2013-15).

DuBose appeared in Miami’s first two games of the 2024 season, recording one reception for 13 yards. He spent the 2024 offseason program and training camp with Green Bay after spending the 2023 season on their practice squad. He entered the league as a seventh-round selection (256th overall) by Green Bay in the 2023 NFL Draft. He finished his collegiate career at Charlotte, where he appeared in 24 games with 20 starts in two seasons (2021-22) after transferring from Miles College. He recorded 126 receptions for 1,684 yards (13.3 avg.) and 15 touchdowns at Charlotte. He ranked second in school history in career receiving yards per game (70.2) and fourth in career receiving yards (1,684).

Eskridge, who joined Miami’s practice squad on Aug. 29, 2024, has appeared in 24 career games in three seasons with Seattle (2021-23). He has recorded 17 receptions for 122 yards (7.2 avg.) and one touchdown, while contributing 428 yards on 17 kickoff returns (25.2 avg.). He entered the NFL as a second-round selection (56th overall) by Seattle in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan (2016-20), where appeared in 45 games and recorded 122 receptions for 2,260 yards (18.5 avg.) and 15 touchdowns.

Ezukanma has played in three career games, totaling one reception for three yards and five carries for 22 yards (4.4 avg.) in two seasons with Miami (2022-23). He was a fourth-round pick (125th overall) by the Dolphins in the 2022 NFL Draft and played collegiately at Texas Tech, where he earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2020.

Miami Dolphins Make Roster Moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have placed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on the reserve/injured list and signed quarterback Tyler Huntley off Baltimore’s practice squad. Additionally, the team signed tackle Jackson Carman to the practice squad and released wide receiver Robbie Chosen from the practice squad.

Huntley, a five-year NFL veteran, spent the last four seasons with Baltimore (2020-23). A 2022 Pro Bowl selection, he appeared in 20 games with nine starts with the Ravens, completing 221-of-342 passes (64.6 pct.) for 1,957 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also appeared in two postseason contests with Baltimore (2020, 2022), starting one of them in 2022. He spent the 2024 offseason with Cleveland and the first two weeks of the regular season on Baltimore’s practice squad. Huntley entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Baltimore on April 27, 2020. He played collegiately at Utah, where he appeared in 37 career games with 33 starts and completed 574-of-854 passes (67.2 pct.) for 7,351 yards, 46 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. He attended Hallandale High School in Hallandale Beach, Fla., where he was named the 2015 Florida Gatorade Player of the Year.

Tagovailoa, a first-round selection (fifth overall) by Miami in the 2020 NFL Draft, is in his fifth season with the Dolphins. He has played in 54 games with 53 starts, completing 1,136-of-1,700 passes (66.8 pct) for 13,122 yards and 83 touchdowns along with 140 carries for 409 yards and six rushing touchdowns. Tagovailoa is a three-time team captain (2022-24), and he played collegiately at the University of Alabama.

Carman, spent the last three seasons with the Bengals (2021-23), appearing in 22 games with six starts. He also appeared in seven postseason games with two starts. Carman originally entered the NFL as a second-round selection (46th overall) by Cincinnati in the 2021 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Clemson (2018-20), where he appeared in 40 career games with 27 starts during his three seasons with the Tigers.

Chosen is in his ninth NFL season and has spent time with the N.Y. Jets (2016-19), Carolina (2020-22), Arizona (2022) and Miami (2023-24), totaling 122 games played and 86 starts with 380 receptions for 5,087 yards (13.4 avg.) and 30 touchdowns. Chosen also has 16 career rushing attempts for 98 yards (6.1 avg.). He appeared in two games with Miami in 2024 and played in nine games with the Dolphins in 2023, catching five passes for 129 yards (25.8 avg.) and one touchdown during his time in Miami. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the N.Y. Jets in 2016. He played collegiately at Temple.

Miami Dolphins Sign Ramsey to Contract Extension

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins have signed cornerback Jalen Ramsey to a contract extension through the 2028 season, it was announced Saturday.

Ramsey, who was recently named a team captain, enters his ninth NFL season and his second with the Dolphins after being traded to Miami from the L.A. Rams on March 15, 2023. He started 10 games in his first season with Miami, recording 22 tackles (18 solo), three interceptions and five passes defensed. Ramsey made an immediate impact after suffering an injury in training camp and returning to the active roster in Week 8, intercepting three passes in his first two games of the season and earning AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance in the Week 11 win vs. Las Vegas.

A Super Bowl LVI Champion, Ramsey has been selected to seven-consecutive Pro Bowls, which is tied for the fourth-longest Pro Bowl selection streak by an NFL defensive back since 1970.

Ramsey, who was selected as the No. 25 player on the 2024 NFL Network Top 100 list, has appeared in 118 career game with 117 starts, recording 474 tackles (393 solo), 2.0 sacks, 22 interceptions with one returned for a touchdown, 97 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. His 22 interceptions since 2016 are tied for fifth-most among NFL cornerbacks in that span. He entered the league as first-round selection (fifth overall) by Jacksonville in the 2016 NFL Draft after an outstanding collegiate career at Florida State.

Miami Dolphins Sign McLendon to Practice Squad

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed linebacker Derrick McLendon to the team’s practice squad.

McLendon entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Carolina on May 10, 2024, and spent the offseason program and training camp with the team. He finished his collegiate career at Colorado, where he appeared in 12 games and recorded 14 tackles (10 solo), 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and four fumble recoveries in 2023. He transferred to Colorado from Florida State where he played in 38 games in four seasons (2019-22) and recorded 61 tackles (19 solo), 7.0 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
