Miami Dolphins announce schedule for 2024 Training Camp Presented by Baptist Health   Download PDF version

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced their 2024 training camp schedule presented by Baptist Health with practices held at the Baptist Health Training Complex in Miami Gardens.

The Dolphins will hold 12 practices open to the public and an additional practice exclusively for season ticket members. The first public practice will be on Sunday, July 28 in celebration of the NFL’s “Back Together Weekend.” The team will hold a practice inside Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, August 3, which will be open to the public. There will also be three opportunities for fans to view joint practices – first with the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday, August 6 and Wednesday, August 7, followed by a practice against the Washington Commanders on Thursday, August 15. All practices will begin at 10:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

Fans can secure tickets for 2024 Miami Dolphins Training Camp beginning Monday, July 8. Attendance for all open practices is free, but fans must reserve tickets through the Miami Dolphins Account Manager by Ticketmaster. Practice times are subject to change and the most updated information can be found on http://miamidolphins.com/trainingcamp or the team’s official Twitter account @MiamiDolphins.

This year’s training camp will feature theme days, food trucks from local restaurants, fan festivities, and the garage sale benefitting the Miami Dolphins Foundation. Fans in attendance at the Baptist Health Training Complex will enjoy practices under a shaded canopy in stadium-style seating.

The Dolphins will host practices at the Baptist Health Training Complex for the fourth year since the state-of-the-art facility opened in 2021 in Miami Gardens. Baptist Health serves as the Official Medical Team and Official Wellness and Sports Medicine Provider of the Miami Dolphins and the Training Complex.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed defensive tackle Calais Campbell and waived wide receiver Mathew Sexton.

Campbell is a six-time Pro Bowler (2014-15, 2017-20) entering his 17th NFL season. He played nine seasons (2008-16) with Arizona, three seasons (2017-19) with Jacksonville, three seasons (2020-22) with Baltimore and one season (2023) with Atlanta. Campbell has played in 244 games with 225 starts, totaling 856 tackles (608 solo), 105.5 sacks, three interceptions, 58 passes defensed, 17 forced fumbles and 13 fumble recoveries. He has also played in 15 postseason games with 10 starts. Campbell was named the 2019 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year and earned the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award in 2022. He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (50th overall) by Arizona in the 2008 NFL Draft following a collegiate career at the University of Miami.

Sexton signed with the Dolphins on January 17, 2024. He originally entered the NFL with Pittsburgh on March 31, 2021. In 2023, he had stints on New England and Atlanta’s practice squads. He also spent time with Kansas City in 2021 and 2022. Sexton played for the Vegas Vipers of the XFL in the spring of 2023, totaling 23 receptions for 364 yards (15.8 avg.). He played collegiately at Eastern Michigan, where he caught 100 passes for 1,335 yards (13.4 avg.) and nine touchdowns.

Miami Dolphins sign Robinson

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed their first-round pick, linebacker Chop Robinson.

Robinson was selected in the first round (21st overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played in 22 games with 10 starts over two seasons (2022-23) at Penn State, where he totaled 41 tackles (31 solo), 9.5 sacks, three passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He earned first-team All-Big 10 honors and third-team All-American honors in 2023. Robinson transferred from Maryland, where he recorded 19 tackles (12 solo) and 2.0 sacks as a true freshman.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed safety Marcus Maye and waived defensive tackle Daviyon Nixon Sr.

Maye is entering his eighth NFL season after spending five years (2017-21) with the N.Y. Jets and two years (2022-23) with New Orleans. He has started 77 career games, totaling 405 tackles (286 solo), 4.5 sacks, eight interceptions, 28 passes defensed, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (39th overall) by the N.Y. Jets in the 2017 NFL Draft. Maye played collegiately at Florida.

Nixon signed with the Dolphins on March 7, 2024. He has played in 14 NFL games during two seasons (2021-22) with Carolina, where he recorded 15 career tackles (four solo) and a 0.5 sack. He also spent time on Seattle’s active roster in 2022. He originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (158th overall) by Carolina in the 2021 NFL Draft. Nixon played collegiately at Iowa.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed their second-round pick, tackle Patrick Paul.

Paul was selected in the second round (55th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He was a five-year letterman (2019-23) at Houston, where he started 44 career games, all at left tackle. He was a three-time first-team all-conference selection, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2023 and first-team All-AAC honors in 2021 and 2022.

Miami Dolphins sign five draft picks

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed five draft picks: linebacker Mohamed Kamara, safety Patrick McMorris, wide receiver Malik Washington, wide receiver Tahj Washington and running back Jaylen Wright.

Kamara was selected in the fifth round (158th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played five years (2019-23) at Colorado State, where he earned All-Mountain West honors and was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year as a graduate student in 2023. He played in 49 career games with 33 starts and recorded 179 tackles (93 solo), 30.5 sacks, two passes defensed, five forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

McMorris was selected in the sixth round (198th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played his final season at California, where he started all 13 games and recorded 90 tackles (50 solo), 1.0 sack, one interception, eight passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries and was named All-Pac 12 honorable mention. McMorris transferred from San Diego State, where he played four seasons (2019-22). He earned first-team All-Mountain West honors in 2021 and 2022.

Malik Washington was selected in the sixth round (184th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played his final season at Virginia, where he appeared in 12 games with 11 starts and totaled 110 receptions for 1,427 yards (13.0 avg.) and nine touchdowns. He earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2023. Washington transferred from Northwestern, where he played four seasons (2019-22) and tallied 120 receptions for 1,348 yards (11.2 avg.) and three touchdowns.

Tahj Washington was selected in the seventh round (241st overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played in 39 games with 30 starts over three seasons (2021-23) at Southern California, where he caught 163 receptions for 2,449 yards (15.0 avg.) and 15 touchdowns. He was named All-Pac 12 honorable mention in 2022. Washington transferred from Memphis, where he brought in 43 receptions for 743 yards (17.3 avg.) and six touchdowns as a redshirt freshman.

Wright was selected in the fourth round (120th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He played three seasons (2021-23) at Tennessee, where he appeared in 32 games with 12 starts and totaled 368 carries for 2,297 yards (6.2 avg.) and 18 touchdowns. In 2023, he started all 12 games and tallied 137 carries for 1,013 yards (7.4 avg.) and four touchdowns. His 7.4 yards per carry led all FBS running backs, earning him second-team All-SEC honors.
