Miami Dolphins Make Roster Moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins announced they have signed wide receiver Erik Ezukanma to the active roster off the practice squad and placed cornerback Kendall Fuller on the injured reserve list. The team also elevated cornerback Nik Needham and quarterback Skylar Thompson to the active roster for Sunday’s game.

Ezukanma has played in five career games, totaling one reception for three yards and five carries for 22 yards (4.4 avg.) in three seasons with Miami (2022-24). This season, he appeared in Miami’s Week 3 matchup at Seattle and against San Francisco in Week 16. Ezukanma was a fourth-round selection (125th overall) by the Dolphins in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Texas Tech (2018-21), where he appeared in 35 games and totaled 138 receptions for 2,165 yards and 15 touchdowns in addition to 10 carries for 138 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2020.

Fuller started 11 games for Miami this season and recorded 50 tackles (37 solo), seven passes defensed and one fumble recovery. He has appeared in 128 career games with 104 starts in nine seasons with Washington (2016-17, 2020-23), Kansas City (2018-19) and Miami (2024). He has recorded 503 tackles (402 solo), 2.0 sacks, 16 interceptions, 82 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in his career. He won Super Bowl LIV with the Chiefs and entered the NFL as a third-round selection (84th overall) by Washington in the 2016 NFL Draft. Fuller played collegiately at Virginia Tech.

Needham has appeared in 63 games with 27 starts in six seasons with Miami (2019-24). He’s totaled 199 tackles (144 solo), 3.0 sacks, six interceptions, 25 passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in his career. He’s also had one interception return for a touchdown and played in one playoff game. This season, he appeared in Miami’s Week 5 matchup at New England and at Indianapolis in Week 7. Needham originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Miami in 2019. He played collegiately at UTEP.

Thompson has appeared in 10 career games with three starts in three seasons with Miami (2022-24), completing 81-of-138 passing attempts for 721 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. He entered the league as a seventh-round selection (247th overall) by Miami in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Kansas State (2017-21), where he started 40 career games, totaling 7,134 passing yards and 42 passing touchdowns while adding 1,087 rushing yards and 26 rushing touchdowns.
