FINS WEEKEND GOLF TOURNAMENT AT CRANDON GOLF AT KEY BISCAYNE WINNERS
MIAMI, FL – The Miami Dolphins Foundation today kicked off its 20th Fins Weekend, featuring fun-filled events geared towards impacting the South Florida community. Proceeds from the multi-day event, through the educational pillar of Miami Dolphins Foundation, benefit City Year Miami, an education-focused nonprofit organization that partners with public schools to keep students on track to graduate. In 2016, the Foundation sponsors City Year programs at Miami Carol City and Miami Norland Senior High Schools.
Earlier today, Dolphins coaches, players and alumni played in the Fins Weekend Golf Tournament at Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne. After hitting the links, golfers were treated to an Awards & Luncheon presented by Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute at Baptist Health South Florida.
“Today’s tournament was a resounding success with more than 36 foursomes participating, and we are delighted to raise money for City Year Miami and all they do to support students in our community,” Miami Dolphins Senior Vice President of Special Projects & Alumni Relations Nat Moore said.
After the tournament, participants will attend the popular Hook & Tackle Captains’ Party presented by South Florida Ford at the Miami Beach Marina. Events continue tomorrow morning with the Fins Weekend Fishing Tournament, Weigh-in presented by Hooters South Florida and Fishing Awards Ceremony & Live Auction presented by Seaboard Marine at the Miami Beach Marina.
