MIAMI DOLPHINS ANNOUNCE 2016 PRESEASON SCHEDULE
MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins open the 2016 season with a preseason schedule that features games against the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans. The exact dates and kickoff times of all 2016 preseason games will be announced at a later date.
Miami will open its preseason schedule at MetLife Stadium to face off with the New York Giants in Week 1 (Aug. 11-15). The Dolphins have not faced the Giants in the preseason since 1994, but are a perfect 6-0 against the organization.
In Week 2, the Dolphins will take on the Dallas Cowboys (Aug. 18-22). It will be the 10th all-time preseason meeting between the two teams with the Cowboys holding a 6-3 edge. The Dolphins won the last preseason meeting, defeating Dallas 25-20 on Aug. 23, 2014.
The Dolphins return home in Week 3 for a nationally-televised game against the Atlanta Falcons. The contest will kick off at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, and air on NBC. Miami is 6-8 all-time in preseason games against Atlanta and defeated the Falcons in last year’s preseason, posting a 13-9 victory on Aug. 29, 2015.
The preseason concludes in Week 4 (Sept. 1-2) as Miami hosts the Tennessee Titans. The Dolphins and Titans have not met in the preseason since 1989 (when the Titans were then the Houston Oilers) when the two franchises met for a preseason game in Jacksonville.
WFOR-TV, CBS4 will once again be the preseason television home of the Dolphins. The games against the New York Giants (Aug. 11-15), Dallas Cowboys (Aug. 18-22) and Tennessee Titans (Sept. 1-2) will be shown on the CBS affiliate in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale market.

- The Dolphins have posted a winning preseason record 24 times in the team’s history.
- Entering 2016, the Dolphins hold a 126-100-4 record in preseason contests.
- The four ties the Dolphins have posted in the preseason occurred in 1968, 1971, 1973 and 1982.
