MIAMI DOLPHINS SIGN DRAKE
MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed running back Kenyan Drake, a third-round selection (73rd overall) in the 2016 NFL draft. With the signing of Drake, the Dolphins have now signed all eight of their draft choices.
Drake was a four-year letterman (2012-15) at Alabama, where he played in 42 career games with six starts. Throughout his career, Drake totaled 233 carries for 1,495 yards (6.4 avg.) and 18 touchdowns and added 46 receptions for 570 yards (12.4 avg.) and four touchdowns. He also returned 19 kickoffs for 505 yards (26.6 avg.) and one touchdown. Drake won two national championships for Alabama (2013 and 2016) and provided a memorable highlight with a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of Alabama’s 45-40 College Football Playoff National Championship victory over Clemson on Jan. 11, 2016.
