MIAMI DOLPHINS SIGN JONES
MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed defensive end Jason Jones.
Jones played the past three seasons (2013-15) with the Detroit Lions where he started 34 games despite missing most of the 2013 season due to injury. In 2015, Jones started 15 contests and totaled 31 tackles (27 solo) and 4.5 sacks with seven tackles for loss.
Jones originally entered the NFL as a second-round (54th overall) selection by the Tennessee Titans in the 2008 NFL draft. He played four seasons for Tennessee (2008-11) and one season for the Seattle Seahawks (2012) before joining the Lions. Jones has played in 95 career games with 65 starts and has accumulated 175 tackles (133 solo) and 28 sacks.
