Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have promoted quarterback Reid Sinnett to the active roster and placed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve.

Sinnett has not appeared in a regular-season NFL game but was dressed for two in 2020. During the 2021 preseason, Sinnett completed 30-of-45 passes (66.7 pct.) for 401 yards, three touchdowns and a passer rating of 107.7. Sinnett joined the Dolphins practice squad on Sept. 14, 2020. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Tampa Bay on May 4, 2020.

Tagovailoa has played in 12 career games with 11 starts. He’s completed 203-of-321 passes (63.2 pct.) for 2,029 yards, 12 touchdowns and a passer rating of 85.8 in his career. Tagovailoa originally entered the NFL as a first-round pick (fifth overall) by the Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Miami Dolphins elevate Perry

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have elevated cornerback Jamal Perry to the active roster for Sunday’s game.

Perry joined the Dolphins on Feb. 15, 2019 and has played in 28 games with seven starts for the Dolphins over the past three seasons (2019-21). He’s totaled 72 tackles (47 solo), one interception and seven passes defensed. Perry also has 14 special teams stops (10 solo). He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Philadelphia on May 11, 2017.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have activated tight end Adam Shaheen off the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Shaheen was acquired by Miami in a trade with Chicago on July 26, 2020. He played in all 16 games with five starts for Miami last year, totaling 12 receptions for 150 yards (12.5 avg.) and three touchdowns. Shaheen originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (45th overall) by the Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Broxel will become the Official Prepaid Debit Card of The Miami Dolphins

Miami Gardens, Fla – The Miami Dolphins and Broxel announced a multi-year partnership, in which the financial technology company will develop the Official Prepaid Debit Card of The Miami Dolphins and entitle the newly named 72 Club presented by Broxel.

Miami Dolphins place Davis on injured reserve

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have placed defensive tackle Raekwon Davis on injured reserve.

Davis played in all 16 games with 12 starts last year, totaling 40 tackles (19 solo). His 40 tackles were second among NFL rookie defensive linemen that season behind only Washington’s Chase Young, who was the second overall pick of the draft. His efforts earned him PFWA All-Rookie team honors. Davis started the season opener on Sunday at New England prior to leaving with an injury.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have activated tackle Austin Jackson off the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Jackson started 12 games for the Dolphins as a rookie in 2020 after he was selected by the team in the first round (18th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was a two-year starter (2018-19) at the University of Southern California, where he earned first-team All-Pac 12 honors as a junior in 2019.
