Miami Dolphins make trade with Texans

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have acquired a 2020 first-round pick, a 2021 first-round pick, a 2021 second-round pick, cornerback Johnson Bademosi and tackle Julien Davenport from the Houston Texans in exchange for tackle Laremy Tunsil, wide receiver Kenny Stills, a 2020 fourth-round pick and a 2021 sixth-round pick.

Bademosi has appeared in 110 NFL games with six starts in seven NFL seasons – four with Cleveland (2012-15), one in Detroit (2016), one in New England (2017) and one in Houston (2018). He has totaled 52 tackles (42 solo), one interception, nine passes defensed and two fumble recoveries. Bademosi also has 79 career special teams stops (56 solo). He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with Cleveland on May 4, 2012.

Davenport played in 27 games with 19 starts over the past two seasons (2017-18) with the Texans. In 2018, he played in all 16 games and started 15 of them – 13 at left tackle and two at right tackle. He originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (130th overall) by Houston in the 2017 NFL draft.

Tunsil started 44 games for the Dolphins over the past three seasons (2016-18). In 2018, he started 15 contests at left tackle. He was drafted by the Dolphins in the first round (13th overall) of the 2016 NFL draft.

Stills played in 58 games and made 52 starts for the Dolphins over the past four seasons (2015-18). In 2018, he started 15 games and recorded 37 receptions for 553 yards (14.9 avg.) and six touchdowns. The Dolphins acquired him in a trade with New Orleans on March 13, 2015.

Miami Dolphins trade for Boehm

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have traded an undisclosed conditional 2020 draft pick to Indianapolis for center/guard Evan Boehm and an undisclosed 2020 draft pick.

Boehm has played in 42 career games with 13 starts after spending one season with Indianapolis (2018) and two with Arizona (2016-17). He originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (128th overall) by Arizona in the 2016 NFL draft. Boehm played collegiately at Missouri, where he started a school-record 52 consecutive games.

Miami Dolphins trade for Isidora

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have traded a 2020 seventh-round draft pick to Minnesota for guard Danny Isidora.

Isidora was a fifth-round pick (180th overall) by Minnesota in the 2017 NFL draft. He has played in 21 games with three starts for the Vikings. A Weston native, Isidora was a three-year starter at the University of Miami, where he earned second-team All-ACC honors as a senior in 2016. He attended Cypress Bay High School.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have released/injury settlement tackle Jordan Mills and tight end Clive Walford.

Mills was signed by the Dolphins on May 9, 2019 after four seasons in Buffalo (2015-18), where he started 53 consecutive games. During his career, Mills has played in 87 career games with 82 starts while also spending time with Chicago (2013-14). He originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (163rd overall) by Chicago in the 2013 NFL draft.

Walford was signed by the Dolphins on March 14, 2019. He’s played in 45 career games with 11 starts over four NFL seasons – three with Oakland (2015-17) and one with the N.Y. Jets (2018). Walford has 70 career receptions for 768 yards (11.0 avg.) and six touchdowns. He originally entered the NFL as a third-round pick (68th overall) by Oakland in the 2015 NFL draft. A native of Belle Glade, Florida, Walford played at the University of Miami and attended Glades Central High School.

Miami Dolphins make roster moves

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have waived/injured linebacker Chase Allen and released defensive tackle Akeem Spence.

Allen joined the Dolphins as an undrafted college free agent in 2017 and has played in 21 career games with five starts, totaling 36 tackles (24 solo). He also has seven special teams stops and one special teams forced fumble. He played collegiately at Southern Illinois, where he was a four-year letterman (2013-16) and three-year starter.

Spence joined the Dolphins in a trade from Detroit on May 3, 2018 and started all 16 games for the Dolphins in 2018. During his NFL career, Spence has played in 88 contests with 57 starts, totaling 177 tackles (106 solo), 10.5 sacks, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries. He spent one season in Detroit (2017) and four in Tampa Bay (2013-16). Spence originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round pick (100th overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2013 NFL draft.

Miami Dolphins waive Holden

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have waived offensive lineman Will Holden.

Holden was claimed off waivers by the Dolphins on July 21, 2019. He spent the past two seasons (2017-18) with Arizona, playing in 11 games with seven starts. Holden also spent time on the New Orleans and Indianapolis practice squads in 2018. He originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (157th overall) by Arizona in the 2017 NFL draft.

Miami Dolphins release McDonald

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have released safety T.J. McDonald.

McDonald joined the Dolphins as an unrestricted free agent in 2017. In two seasons with the team, he started 22 games and totaled 129 tackles (93 solo), four interceptions, eight passes defensed and one fumble recovery. McDonald has played six NFL seasons, spending his first four years (2013-16) with the Rams. He originally entered the NFL as a third-round pick (71st overall) by the Rams in the 2013 NFL draft.
